First Day of School

The girls were pretty excited for Olivia's first day of preschool Thursday (bottom photo). On the other hand, Olivia was a little taken aback by all the attention and had her "grumpy face" on for a while.

Olivia also had her birthday dinner at Applebee's Thursday. She nearly polished off her chicken fingers basket and plowed through her chocolate fudge sundae, eating all of it!

Olivia's birthday is today (Friday) and we'll be celebrating it on Sunday afternoon. She awoke this morning at 3:30 a.m. to the sound of thunder, accompanied by nearly continous lightning. Happy birthday to you, huh?

Julia (top photo) had her first day of preschool on Wednesday. She was very excited to accompany her older sisters to school. Later that night, she had her first soccer practice. She's the youngest (and only preschooler) playing soccer on her dad's under 8 team. So it was a little intimidating at first. But once she got warmed up, she had a great time. She enjoys having Lauren as a teammate. Their first game isn't until Sept. 10, although Emily has her first game on Saturday. Dad won't make it because he's officiating his last bike race of the year in Gretna.
