Don't Cry Out Loud
There’s a lot to be said about a crying baby. It can be hungry, wet, irritated, in need of attention or just plain tired. But there is also “The Cry” that every parent recognizes. The one where you just know something is wrong. In our case, Veronica has had “The Cry” for quite some time. Our only clue to her discomfort was the fact that she hadn’t had a bowel movement in five days. Previous to that one, it had been two weeks between dirty diapers. Though the doctor said there is no cause for concern, it is hard not to be concerned when a six-week-old is crying and uncomfortable virtually the entire time she is not eating or sleeping.
