Dad's Trip To The National Championships

Dad returned home Monday from the USA Cycling Professional Championships in Greenville, S.C. Fortunately, it did not rain on him and his team this time.

The Toyota-United Pro Cycling Team didn't make it onto the podium in either the time trial or the road race, but three of its four riders did finish the 110-mile road race Sunday, so that was a good accomplishment.

The highlight of the trip had to be all the media coverage he garnered for the team, including a front-of-the-newspaper picture and two stories on the 11 p.m. news - including one that was a behind-the-scenes feature.

The girls were excited to go to the airport yesterday and pick up Dad. They heard he was bringing good souvenirs and he delivered - logo cookies from the press conference on Friday!
