First Basketball Practice & Pink Piggy

Basketball practice and Pink Piggy have nothing in common. But there was no picture to accompany the account of Emily's first basketball practice.

First, Pink Piggy. This is the backpack that Veronica received for her birthday. She stores all kinds of things in it. When she's not dragging it around on its two wheels, she's wearing it. As you can see, it is nearly as big as she is.

Now to that basketball practice. Emily was invited to play on the Bellevue Ice basketball team with two of her St. Mary's teammates, Laura and Sarah J. This was quite an honor. It probably helped her cause that she's the tallest player on the team.

The first practice was 90 minutes. She did a lot of dribbling, a few shooting drills and even some stretching. It was a bit much after a 90-minute volleyball practice, but she got through it. Her team's first game is less than two weeks away.
