Weekend Wrap: Lauren Gets Sick

Just as Olivia was getting better, Lauren came down with a bit of a bug. It started Saturday. But first, we need to recap Friday.

We went to the Maverick hockey game that night and watched UNO lose 5-1 to Ferris State. Lauren and Emily weren't with us - instead, they were at a friend's house, having a Webkinz party. They showed off their trading cards and played with their Webkinz.

Saturday afternoon, Emily's basketball team (Ice) lost again and Lauren started feeling bad. She was throwing up that night and was very feverish. So she didn't get to go to church with us at Holy Cross and see Dad take up the collection (he was recruited by another usher). By Monday, she had not gotten any better, and, coincidentally, already had a doctor's appointment scheduled for that day.

It turns out she has tonsillitis. So she will stay home again from school Tuesday, trying to get better. If she has another case of tonsillitis in the next year, she'll probably have to have her tonsils removed.
