Saturday Showdown

The current CYO fifth grade girls basketball standings.
A showdown looms for Emily and Dad's basketball team this coming weekend. St. Mary's of Bellevue (BSM) plays St. Bernadette Saturday. Each team is undefeated and the game will almost certainly decide who finishes first or second in the league standings.

Last Saturday, St. Mary's beat Christ The King, 20-16. The Spartan defense just hasn't been up to par this year. But there are still seven more games to go in the regular season, so hopefully the girls will show some improvement.

Emily's Bellevue Ice team lost by two points in its game on Saturday. Emily continues to play well on that level, scoring one basket (out of eight scored) and getting a host of rebounds.
