Busy at the Beach

Sunday was a busy day for Dad, with quite a few media opportunities to fulfill before the start of the race.

The official press conference was in Savannah and Dad accidentally left his phone sitting on a table in the lobby. He didn't discover its absence until he was leaving Kinko's about 25 minutes later. To his surprise - and relief - it was still sitting on the table, right where he left it.

The days are long at these races, but Dad did find time to entertain a reporter by walking out on a pier on Tybee Island. It was windy and a bit chilly, but otherwise pretty neat. Someday, it will be nice to take the girls to see the ocean. Just a couple months ago, Dad was on the shores of the Pacific. Now it's the Atlantic.
