Bathing 'Vergonika'

In our house, not everyone likes "bath night." But when it came time Sunday night to give their new sister her first at-home wash, the girls made sure they were in the middle of it all.

Lauren, Julia and Olivia were the most interested, helping get the warm water, scrubbing Veronica with soap, reassuring her with a gentle voice that it would soon be finished, etc. Having been through this already, Emily wasn't as anxious to contribute, but she did have fun watching her little sisters fight over the responsibilities of helping mom and dad.

We also learned today that the name "Veronica" can be quite a mouthful for some. Olivia says "Vergonika." It reminds us of when Emily couldn't say Lauren's name very well. Instead, she said "Lo-Lo."
