Ralston Water Fights

YDs at the Ralston paradeEnjoying our July 4 tradition: the Ralston water fights.

Another one of our Fourth of July traditions is to watch the Ralston Fire Department's water fights. This year, we arrived in time to catch the end of the parade, which meant the girls got some candy and plenty of political advertising.

The water fights themselves (see picture below) were pretty exciting for Dad, not so exciting for Mom and exciting, at times, for the girls. They did enjoy the sprinkler-type setup the fire department set up behind one of its rigs.

The pictures of the girls are adorable!

The best water fights when we were growing up were the ones in Ponca Hills, if I recall correctly.
