A Very Busy Day
Saturday's intinerary was stacked:
10 a.m.: Volleyball match
1 p.m.: Basketball practice
2:20 p.m.: Drop Julia off at birthday party
3 p.m.: Surprise 50th wedding anniversary party
7:30 p.m.: Pick up Julia from birthday party
8:15 p.m.: Watch Nebraska play Missouri
With so much on the schedule, we were on the run from the get-go. Emily's team played well, sweeping its volleyball match against St. Margaret Mary to raise its record to 4-2.
Basketball practice was made all the more difficult because Emily had a bum knee. She gritted it out, though, even on a drill that had her running baseline to baseline (she was taking the ball out of bounds after every made basket).
Julia said she had a great time at the birthday party, which was at "The Body Shop" (same place Olivia was last week for a birthday party). She also got to spend more time with the birthday girl after the party because we were at a party of our own.
The 50th wedding anniversary was for Dad's Aunt Sara and Uncle Eugene. The girls had an absolute blast playing with their second cousins - and they especially enjoyed the hayrack ride. Where are the pictures, you ask? We couldn't find our camera. But we'll add them when we get them from someone else who was there taking pictures.
And that Nebraska game? Dad fell asleep after halftime, then woke up later to see the damage report. No surprise.

I'm bummed I couldn't make it up to the volleyball game. I was at school but I was experiencing computer problems. My computer was clicking and I thought it was going to explode! But after 2 hours it mysteriously began working and I completed my lesson plans and added grades to Easy Grade Pro. I would have much rather been watching volleyball!
