About Those Brackets

Olivia was a little short with Dad tonight when it came to discussing those NCAA Tournament brackets. It seems that she knew what Dad was getting ready to tell her: that her bracket was shelled out during the regional round of 16 (or "Sweet 16" as it is better known).

Olivia had only one chance to stay alive: Texas. And the Longhorns lost to Memphis.

The other girls are faring a little better. Emily successfully picked three of the Final Four teams, while Julia has Memphis and Veronica has Kansas and Memphis.

So, with only three games remaining (the semifinal and next Monday's title game), here are the point standings:

Emily: 28 points this weekend + 43 points previously = 71 points
Julia: 16 points this weekend + 37 points previously = 53 points
Veronica: 16 points this weekend + 26 points previously = 42 points
Olivia: 8 points this weekend + 21 points previously = 29 points
