Visiting The Aqua Zone

The U.S. Olympic Swim Trials are in Omaha this week. Unfortunately, the price of tickets ($20, $30 and $40 for morning sessions; $40, $50 and $60 for evening sessions) prevents us from attending the actual trials themselves. But the Aqua Zone - set up in the adjacent convention center - is free and had lots of fun things for the girls.
We stopped by after church Sunday to check out Toyota's "Engine of Change" area that features athletes the company sponsors and supports. There, we met some of Dad's colleagues at Elevation Sports & Entertainment, including Wes. The girls were entertained by Nick, who had them try and put on a Toyota swim cap as quickly as possible.
The girls also got their faces painted and played a few games. No one wanted to star in a Toyota commercial, though. We spent more than an hour there and probably saw 25 percent of the entire area. So a return trip might be in order.
Veronica's swim cap covered her entire head.
Here's the Toyota Energy Zone, where athletescan relax, play video games and check their e-mail.
