The Tooth Fairy Cometh

Lauren SmilesLauren Closeup
All Lauren wants for Christmas are her two front teeth...

We knew Lauren was close to losing her other front tooth. What we didn't know was that she would eat it as soon as it fell out.

Editor's Note: The same thing happened to her dad at Denny's in Kansas City when he was seven years old. That is why he no longer eats hamburgers at Denny's.

So, with no tooth to leave for the Tooth Fairy, Lauren was resigned to leaving a note beneath her pillow explaining the situation.

When the tooth fairy comes to the YD house, she always comes bearing gifts. As you can see from the picture below, it amounts to quite a handful.

Tooth Fairy Swag
The Tooth Fairy always leaves plenty of "swag" when she visits.

The pink box (which had a dollar's worth of quarters in it) comes tucked in the Tooth Fairy bear. Also left behind was a new book (not pictured) and a handwritten note:

Dear Lauren:

What? You ate another one of your teeth! Do they taste good? Next time, try to get it under your pillow for me, OK? I flew in to check on your mom again and I almost flew into a baby bed! Congratulations on your new baby sister! I’ll bet you are proud and happy to have her. I also saw the note on your refrigerator. It made me sad to see that you might miss your friend’s birthday party because you have been (misbehaving). C’mon sweetie, you know what you need to do to make your parents happy and proud. Please try to do better, OK?

Hope you enjoy your new book!

Love you,

The Tooth Fairy

When Lauren goes to bed tonight, she will put the pink coin box and bear beneath her pillow, along with a thank you note that the Tooth Fairy will retreive overnight.
