Veronica Meets The Easter Bunny

Veronica was all smiles for her first encounter with her fluffy friend.
Where's the rest of the girls in this photo, you might be asking? The short of the story is that we had a chance to have Veronica's picture taken with the Easter Bunny for free yesterday. I can't get into the specifics, but suffice it to say that we were not only getting a free photo, but we were also getting paid to be there.
Veronica wasn't scared and neither was Julia, who accompanied us. And that's a pretty big thing for her because she's had some clown phobia in the past...

Veronica looks so happy. My kids would of been screaming. Some still may if I tried that today.

According to American lore, the Easter Bunny leaves baskets of treats (including Easter eggs and assorted chocolates and candy) on Easter morning for good children. Sometimes children leave out carrots for the Easter Bunny, which is similar to the practice of leaving milk and cookies for Santa Claus.
In many places in the United States, the eggs are hidden and children must "hunt" for the eggs. Often, plastic eggs filled with candy or money will be hidden along with the usual painted hard-boiled eggs.
In some places in the United States, there is a move by some toward renaming the Easter Bunny the "Spring Bunny" as an attempt at appearing religiously neutral; however, these moves have been met with criticism.[1]
In Australia, rabbits are an invasive species and generally considered pests. A long-running campaign to replace the Easter Bunny with the Easter Bilby, a native marsupial, yielded moderate success. Easter Bilbies are a common and unremarked sight in many Australian stores around Easter. The Easter Bunny, however, remains considerably more recognized and well known than its bilby counterpart.
In France, the eggs are not laid by rabbits, but dropped from the sky by "les cloches de Pâques," flying church bells coming back from Rome where they spent Easter.
