Church on the Road
A little website called masstimes.org has made what was once a complicated process much simpler. You see, when you go on the road, it's a Saturday afternoon ritual to track down the closest Catholic Church. That used to mean scouring the phone book, comparing addresses, calling the rectory for mass times and asking the hotel desk clerk for driving directions.
Nowadays, finding the closest church is as easy as logging onto the website, putting in the zip code and scouring the listings of churches and mass times. When you've found one you like, the site will even provide you with a map. This week, Dad will be doing the drill twice(because Wednesday is Ash Wednesday).
For his mom's sake, Dad went to "Our Lady of Angels Church" in Burlingame, Calif. It was about a 3-minute run/walk from his hotel. And yes, he has the bulletin if you want to look at it.
Saturday night was not a good one for Mom. The girls were being less-than-angels and overnight, Mom got sick. That meant a cancellation of Lauren's birthday party. This is the second time in three years that we've had to call off the festivities for Lauren's big day (the other time she had her party priviledges revoked for being naughty).

LOL! I was just about to ask you if you were going to bring home a bulletin! Don't forget you can make 3 special requests when you enter a Catholic church for the first time. After each request pray an Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be.

I hadn't heard that one. I've been missing out on taking advantage of that for years...
Thanks!
