A Visit to the Shrine Circus
Noticeably absent are Julia and Veronica.
For the girls who don't like clowns, the Shrine Circus coming to town conjures up frightening terror instead of three-ring fun. That's the case for Julia, who spent the afternoon with Aunt Jean rather than endure the goofy guys who are supposed to make the circus extra fun.
This year's show was different than last year but still featured Mom's favorite animal - elephants. The venue was the Civic Auditorium because the state wrestling tournament was going on at the Qwest Center. But it was still a great time and the girls appreciated the free tickets, courtesy of the Shriners.

Julia and Veronica actually stayed home with Aunt Dee Dee. Julia had fun playing in the snow outside, by herself while we were at the circus! She kept calling us to see when we were coming home and what was happening at the circus. Next year I suggest, you "buck up" and come along, Jules!

Thanks for the clarification, Dani. I DISTINCTLY recall Julia watching Dad on television/TIVO during coverage of the Tour of California (the day dad's team member captured the final stage).
I doubt she would have had more fun at the circus than she did staying home with me! *smile*
