No, It's Not Peony Park

Wow, you leave town for a few days and they put up a roller coaster.

At least that's what Dad thought when he rode his bike past Fun Plex Monday morning. The coaster stands about as tall as the one that used to be front-and-center at the former Peony Park (now a Hy-Vee).

The next thing that Dad thought was how much fun he's going to have taking the girls on the coaster this summer. Really. This one isn't nearly as big - or as fast - as the ones he passed on at Worlds of Fun a couple of years ago. (Yes, Emily was brave enough to join Mom when Dad wouldn't budge.)

So there's something to look forward to this summer...

I'm too chicken for that one anymore. I can see Aric and Jackie going on it.

Hate to always clarify the blog entries; but Dad was nowhere to be seen while Mom and Aunt Dee Dee took the girls to Worlds of Fun that summer. And yes, Emily rode the Mamba with me. Fun! She didn't breathe through the entire ride but loves to tell the story of riding it. :)
I can't remember where Sean was for this occasion. Hmmmm?????

That was FUN! (Of course, it would have been better if I hadn't torn a contact the night before and had to face the roller coasters *blind*! It actually makes the experience more exciting when you can't see what's happening next!)

I once road the Peony Park roller coaster (in sixth grade) 26 times in a row. Em, we'll have to see if you can beat that.
