Swimming With The Lightharts

We received a nice surprise Saturday morning in the form of a phone call from our friends, the Lightharts. They invited us to go swimming with them at Lifetime Fitness. What we didn't know was that the (fairly new) complex at 168th & West Center Road features an elaborate outdoor water park, in addition to an indoor pool (that also has water slides.

The weather was nice enough enough - and the indoor pool was closed - that we enjoyed a great day of water and sunshine. At first, the three older girls were a little hesitant to try out the water slides. But first Emily, then Lauren and Julia, gave them a shot. (And even Dad.) There are two slides: one enclosed and one open. No one gave the enclosed one a try.

Kathleen and Mike (pictured with their youngest son, Michael) were very gracious hosts, even sharing their snacks with us. (We shared our Oreos and crackers, too.) Three hours later, we packed up a tired bunch of girls and headed home.
