Water, Water, Everywhere

Who knew?

Running the hose and the sprinkler system at the same time created a problem this week. A big problem.

Like in flooding pretty much the entire basement. Mom discovered it - much too late to prevent the carpet from being totally soaked.

So it's clean-up time. Mom took the lead and the girls chipped in to help haul carpet scraps out. They also helped scrape the nasty tile up. So, in addition to having to fix our leaky roof, we'll also be either a) putting down new tile, or b) putting down new carpet.

What is that saying about the lottery? "You can't win if you don't play..."
