The problem is, Rapid City is on the WRONG side of South Dakota. Now, if it were on the east side near I-80 - GREAT.
That would make a really long detour on our NE-to-ND trips. Although, the Corn Palace has been a possible side-trip mention occasionally.
No stops for Little House On The Prairie sites (DeSmet, SD)?
