The Chores List

With our camera still missing, today's photo is courtesy of the camera on Dad's MacBook. It really tells the story of how things went Tuesday night.

Lauren (in orange) and Olivia are down on this week's chores list to handle the dishes - rinsing, unloading and loading. Julia has "floor" - sweeping and cleaning the kitchen and dining room. Emily has "table" - which means setting and clearing it before and after each meal.

The problem was, Emily was being a goofball. It started at homework time, when she wouldn't cooperate with Dad, who was trying to help her out. After supper, Emily thought it would be more fun to pick on Julia. So it ended up that Julia was relieved of her floor duties, leaving Emily to finish both the table and the floor.

Lauren and Olivia teamed together quite well to get the dishwasher unloaded, then loaded again. But Emily continued to do just about anything other than sweep and clean. This picture illustrates it best: Lauren working and Emily goofing off.
