Another Busy Weekend

So our weekend was another one of run here, run there. Dad had his team's first basketball practice Friday afternoon, Emily had a volleyball game that night, followed by a basketball game, followed by a UNO hockey game. We didn't all make it to the hockey game. Aunt Dee Dee took Lauren, Julia and Olivia to it, while Mom, Dad, Veronica and Emily made the basketball and volleyball games. Unfortunately, Emily's team lost both contests Friday night.
Saturday, we were back on the go at two more volleyball games and the UNO hockey game. Emily's team won its final match of the season at the Mary Our Queen tournament, but it was not enough to help them advance to the semifinal round. We think she's actually glad the season is finished, though, because she seems to like basketball more than volleyball.Saturday night, we were back at the Qwest Center to watch the Mavericks play Michigan. An unexpected treat was the arrival of one of Aunt Bridget's friends, who gave the girls a huge box of Webkinz trading cards. They were in second heaven.
Sunday, we took a trip back in time and went to mass at the Veteran's Hospital. It's been about three years since we attended church there and it's hard not to notice us when we take up an entire pew.
Then it was on to volleyball tryouts for a Bellevue select team. Emily will not be playing, but Mom and Dad thought it would be a good experience for her to tryout. Most of her St. Mary's teammates were on hand.

You just brought back a memory of me going with my Grandma to Mass at the hospital. She just lived down the street. Great times spending the night at Grandma's house.
Make sure to wave to my sister Maggie when at the hockey games. I can't remember what section she sits in.
