Benny Goes Bye-Bye

This year's Christmas tree, which was dubbed "Benny," made its exit today.

Lauren and Mom spent the entire afternoon removing the ornaments and packing them up for storage. Emily helped take the angel off the top and Dad pulled Benny out the front door (the wrong way at first) and took him to the drop-off site. Special thanks to Grandma and Grandpa YD for the use of their truck.

And yes, Dad did tie down Benny for the trip to the drop-off site. A couple years ago, he did not and not two miles from the house, Dad looked in the rear-view mirror to discover the tree had flown out.
