Another Weekend Win

The latest standings show BSM (Emily & Dad's team) in first.
Emily played two basketball games Saturday. In the first one, she didn't score in a loss to Bellevue West. About an hour later, she helped Dad's team move to 9-0 on the year with a 19-17 win over Christ The King (his alma mater).

Things got a little nerve-racking at the end, as Christ The King closed a 19-12 lead down to the final margin with 13 seconds to go. But the Spartans overcame a turnover (Who were you throwing that ball to Emily?) and blocked a shot in the final seconds to preserve the victory.

Now comes the hard part. Dad will not be at the team's final two regular season games. The next one - Saturday - will ultimately decide whether St. Mary's wins the CYO regular season title. Dad has enlisted the expert help of Uncle Neil to help the team's two assistant coaches.
