Overnight Tornado

This is what the online radar looked like at 2:30 a.m.
"Get up! The sirens are going off!"

It was the wake-up call that you wouldn't dream of hearing. Mom scurried from room-to-room to wake everyone up and move them to the basement at 2:30 this morning. Thank goodness she was listening to the radio because many of the girls (and Dad) would not have heard the sirens.

With cousin Steven also on hand, the girls watched Nickelodeon (Veronica stayed asleep) and Dad monitored the storm from the TV in the family room. Winds of more than 70 mph were reported just two miles from our house and several homes and businesses were damaged in Millard. It's not known whether it was a tornado or straight line winds.

We do not have any damage to our home or yard (unless you count the already-existing leaky roof).

Update Monday Afternoon:
Mom took the girls out to survey some of the damage out west. Unfortunately, nearly everything was cleaned up.
