Day at the Zoo
We get to the zoo quite often, but it's not everyday that both mom and dad accompany the girls to it. In today's case, it is believed to be the FIRST time the whole family has been to the zoo together.
We had a nice time feeding the fish with our old bread that mom had been saving.

We also had fun watching the gorillas, as well as the chimpanzees and some of the other species at the gorilla complex. What some (Julia, Dad) didn't like was the trip beneath ground to the "Creatures of the Night" exhibit. Too dark and smelly, right Julia? Mom really thought plenty of walking would stir snicklefritz to come out. But that didn't happen.

All that walking made us pretty hungry and dad had some lawn mowing money left over. So we stopped at the McDonald's down the street.

Afterwards, we got to have a movie night since there's no school tomorrow. Dad even pulled out the hideaway bed for us.

We loved the picture of Aunt Dani's pregnant tummy while she was resting at the zoo. Emily wants to know "why [the cousins] are awake in bed?"

The girls were actually up until around 4 a.m. watching TV. Emily said they fell asleep for a time about 2 a.m., but woke up again about 3.
They were very crabby Monday night.
