Girls Free Day Out!
Thursday started with Mom taking the four older girls to a free showing of the movie, Curious George. The free entertainment continued into the afternoon with a visit to Emily's favorite orthodontist, Dr. Clarke Stevens.
We have to give a shout out to Terri (I hope I spelled that correctly) who faithfully reads our blog daily! The girls really enjoy going with Emily to her check ups as they each get their own individual-sized water and lots of puzzles and a contest to boot.
Tonight, Grandma Bep accompanied the girls as they were entertained with a free concert by the String Beans, an all-male group from Lincoln. They have several CDs out and will be performing at the Taste of Omaha this weekend. Funny stuff, check out their website: www.thestringbeans.net. I love the Nebraska song. Emily did say it was kinda boring. Perhaps our little girl is growing up. *sniff*
(FYI on the photo above: Randy, of the String Beans, kept going out into the audience and bonking people in the head with his "air guitar" (Grandma Bep included).
The freebies didn't end there. We met Aunt Dee Dee and Uncle Jon and some friends from school for free root beer floats from Sonic. They were having a promotion from 8 p.m. to midnight tonight. (So if you are reading this now, get moving. There's still time!)
Tomorrow will be "stay at home and catch our breath day." Whew!
