End of Piano Lessons

Emily and Julia's brief career in music came to an end this week. For a number of reasons, they will no longer be taking piano lessons.

Of course, this is somewhat disappointing. But even more disheartening was the fact that they hardly practiced their lessons. In Dad's eyes, this was a true reflection of how they felt about it. If you love something, you'll pursue it (much like the hundreds of hours Dad spent riding his bicycle when he was growing up).

They did have fun attending the annual Halloween party, where they went dressed as famous composers. Emily (on the right) was Chip Davis while Julia went as John Philip Sousa.

The official record will show that Dad took piano and organ lessons for 10 years, while Emily lasted a little less than two years and Julia one.
