Lauren's Speech

Lauren practiced her speech several times Sunday night.
Lauren and her third grade classmates are being charged with delivering two-to-three minute speeches this month. As luck would have it, Lauren was first up. With Mom's help, she came up with a way to present her information using visual aids and a well-rounded outline.

The topic of the speech was what she is thankful for - particularly the people who are around her. She had "leaves" on her "tree" that represented her home, her Mom, her sisters, her teacher and her friends. As she told about each leaf, she placed it on the tree.

Mom heard from Lauren's teacher Monday afternoon that Lauren did a very nice job.
