The End Of The Hoops Season

What started in late October for Dad and Emily's basketball team came to an end Sunday morning with a 32-15 loss to St. Bernadette in the championship game of the St. Bernadette tournament.

It was disappointing, for sure, but the medals for the players and plaque for the team made that losing feeling go away a little faster. Julia also got a medal (pictured) and she had her name announced before the game as the team's student manager. Emily didn't score and Dad probably didn't coach his best game. In fact, it wasn't until the next morning that he kicked himself for not switching the 2 and the 4 to opposite sides to compensate for the increased defensive pressure.

Emily also played in her final Bellevue Ice basketball game that afternoon. Like most every game before it, her team lost. Emily played well, though, even setting some nice picks late in the game.
