Seeing A Better Picture
What do you do if a Cox Communications worker comes to your door after 9 o'clock at night?
Don't answer it.
That was how we handled the situation Tuesday night. It wasn't clear at the time why a service worker was making a house call - that we didn't order - so late. But we think we have the answer now.
Earlier Tuesday, someone from Cox had left a notice on our door that our cable was "leaking" its signal from inside our house. This could cause all kinds of calamities, the notice said, including interference to airplanes. (Really?)Anyway, Mom called Cox Wednesday afternoon to schedule a service call. The end result was that a technician showed up at 9 in the morning Thursday to look into the problem. He discovered that our house is an absolute mess. Oh, and that our cable is leaking, too.
An hour later - and some drilling on the back of the house (pictured), he had re-routed some cable and fixed the annoying problem of the "ghost" image we had on Channels 8 and 12.
