Fifty Years In The U.S.

Mom's parents, Beppie and Mike.

Mom and her siblings and parents.

Monday night, we gathered with Mom's family to celebrate Grandma Bep's 50 years in the United States. She may have lived here a half-century, but there is no denying that Grandma Bep is 100 percent Dutch.

There was plenty of eating (pizza and desserts) and picture taking, as the entire immediate OB family was on hand. When the photo of the grandchildren was taken (below), photos were subbed in for the missing people. Also, in at least one case, a stand-in was used (bottom photo). Cousin Jeff impersonated his dad.

The girls had a great time playing with their cousins. And the drive home was fun, too, thanks to the misty, foggy conditions.

The photo of the 24 OB grandchildren.

That's Mom's Aunt Ann making herself at home in the middle.
