In The Deep Freeze

If the girls thought it was cold yesterday, they are in for a real surprise today.

As you can see from the graphic, the temperature plummeted overnight - dropping well below zero - and it could be even colder by the time the girls head off to school. [Update at 8:30 a.m.: It got down to -8.]

This also means that the main level of our house is cold. Yesterday, when Uncle Paul stopped by, he joked about opening the refrigerator door to let some heat out so he could warm up.
